Phoebe Emma Garrett was born on October 20, 1866 in what is know at the Scotch Settlement (Greenfield and Warren) in Dearborn, Mich. Came to America in 1857 (parents). Phoebe Emma Garrett lived at place of birth 4 yrs., then moved to Wayne, and lived there for 2 yrs., then moved to Dearborn, living there for 4 yrs. In 1876 at the age of 10 yrs. moved to Romulus, Mich.
Was married to william Barton on July 3, 1888 making there (sp) home in Romulus until 1925 then moved to New Boston, Mich in 1925. Became a member of St. Pauls Ev. Luthern Church in 1926,
Husband Wm Barton died Feb. 12, 1930. Married to Wm Brous of New Boston on Nov. 25, 1930. Wm Brous died Nov. 14, 1945.
