Notes
- Why Betty is called Toadie
According to Dorothy, Betty's nickname is Toadie (she doesn't like it), because when she was little and was a 'toddler' she hopped like a toad, hence the nickname.
A special visitor
Betty said that she remembers that one time a touring car drove up to their house with visitors from Canada. They came to visit during W.W. II. The daughter came and served as an interpreter. It seems that a relative of August was an official with the Canadian government.
